Tile mural commission in partnership with Viúva Lamego tile manufacturers

Portugália restaurant at Avenida Almirante Reis, Lisbon, Portugal —  June 2024

I was invited to create a tile mural that represented the legacy of this (about to be) centenary institution, taking reference from the architecture, from the history, ancient tiles and iconography of the city of Lisbon.

This project also represented the start of a beautiful partnership with the legendary Viúva Lamego tile manufacturers that produced the tile panel, giving me the opportunity to visit and learn from the experts on hand painted tile production in Portugal.
